In-office 3D ultrasound testing
We are happy to provide labor and delivery care at St. George Regional Hospital., since the hospital at Mesquite no longer offers deliveries. Our obstetrical clinic will save you time and money from having to drive to St. George Regional Hospital for your prenatal care checkup. Dr. Ofori is one of the high risk obstetrics laborists at St. George Regional Hospital.
We have invested in advanced 3D ultrasound technology for fetal monitoring in order to give mothers-to-be the reassurance that their pregnancies are progressing normally. Obstetrical ultrasound is safe and noninvasive and may be performed several times throughout your pregnancy to help us determine the position of a fetus and diagnose any potential abnormalities. You will be able to view your baby on a computer monitor during the test.
High-risk pregnancy management
There are many different reasons why a pregnancy is considered high risk. For example, multiple births present a higher risk, as do some health concerns, such as diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorder and thyroid or infectious disease. If you had a previous problem with a pregnancy, that would put you at risk, as well.
We can monitor and care for the most common risks; but we have established close working relationships with perinatologists (maternal fetal medicine specialists) in St. George and Las Vegas and will add them to your medical team, if needed. You can trust us to make sure you and your family get all the care and support you need to give you the best chance of a healthy delivery.
Infertility consultation, testing and treatment
If you have been trying to become pregnant for over a year and are having no success, we provide comprehensive counseling and medical assessments for both you and your partner. Because at least 50% of infertility problems are due to male factors, it is important that both of you are tested.
We will look at lifestyle, emotional and medical factors that may affect fertility. Infertility can be caused by ovulation disorders, blocked fallopian tubes, uterine fibroids or a low sperm count. It can also be the result of age, stress or alcohol or drug use. Based on our findings, we will work with you to help you decide the treatment option that is best for you.
